Hezekiah's Tunnel

We ran into the most beautiful Muslim-looking woman we had ever seen!!! Oohhh..that's Liz!

The ancient City of David is the original Jerusalem and was part of the Old City in biblical times. This city was surrounded by an extensive water supply system. Hezekiah undertook a major engineering project to protect Jerusalem's water supply. He dug a 1, 777 foot conduit, much of it through solid rock, to carry waters under the City to the Pool of Siloam inside the city walls.

This tunnel varies in height from 4 1/2 ft. to 16 1/2 ft.
